Trifoil has a complete graphics update
This release is another big milestone for Trifoil. Trifoil is a line drawing puzzle game that take inspiration from Knot Theory and The Witness. This release is a playable prototype with complete graphics refresh from the previous version. The prototype has over 60 puzzles and about 1-2hours of game play.
The graphic updates include: dynamic 2D lighting, bloom, global volumetric lighting and procedural effects. Compared to the flat color game it was a few weeks ago, I'm wrapped at the progress that has been made. I'm feel super creative and inspired to do more at the moment. Here's a gif I made showing off one of the tail effects:
But I'm not about graphics for the sake of graphics, all these effects will feed into the plot and theme of the game. This will slowly be added in the next couple of months as I start adding the exploratory elements to the levels. In the mean time enjoy playing the prototype and follow Trifoil development as I take it from a prototype to a professional level Indy game by following me on itch.io or twitter.
